Dentures In Clearwater, FL

Try Digital Denture: Faster, Easier Process

Northwood Dental provides full and partial dentures to those living in the Clearwater, FL, area. Our full-service office can handle everything from denture repair to denture implants and more. We also do individual tooth replacement if a full or partial set of denture teeth is not needed.

Dentures are simply a replacement for missing teeth. These devices can be taken out and put back into your mouth, enabling you to chew and speak normally. While dentures take some getting used to and will never feel exactly the same as one’s natural teeth, today’s dentures are natural looking and more comfortable than those made years ago. Our denture clinic is staffed with highly experienced professionals who can help you restore your smile at a reasonable cost.

Digital Denture

A relatively newer technology, digital dentures are fast becoming a popular option for individuals with missing teeth—especially when implants or implant-supported dentures aren’t an option. Thanks to this advanced technology and new materials, Northwood Dental can digitally scan your mouth and jaw.

Fitting digital dentures is a faster, easier process, as well. With this option, you will need to make only two to three visits to our office as opposed to five or six, and you’ll have your new set of dentures faster than ever due to this technology! Certainly, much more quickly than the two months traditional dentures might take! Our patients report a better fit, more functionality, and a better, more natural appearance with digital dentures.

Full Or Complete Denture

Full dentures are used to replace teeth after they have all been removed. The teeth are usually unable to be saved due to gum disease or decay. Dentures are used to replace the missing teeth and can be either conventional or immediate. Conventional dentures are usually placed after all of the teeth have been removed and the gums have begun to heal, usually after about 12 weeks. Immediate dentures are placed immediately after the teeth have been removed. Immediate dentures allow the patient to have teeth during the healing process. They will most likely need to be realigned or redesigned after healing is complete, as the gums will shift and change during this time.

Regardless of which denture style you choose, our friendly team will be right there with you to help you adjust. We’ll make sure you are as comfortable as possible throughout the process, and that you have the information you need to get used to your new dentures. Our professional staff will make sure the fit is just right, and we will answer any questions you have along the way.

Partial Denture

Partial dentures are used when one or more natural teeth remain healthy in the upper or lower jaw. Partial dentures are designed to fit around the remaining teeth and can be either removable or fixed. Removable partial dentures can be taken out of the mouth for cleaning or eating. A fixed partial denture is the same as a removable partial denture, except that it is cemented into place using the adjacent teeth for support.

As with any procedure, our dentists will help you learn more about your new teeth, and will provide detailed instructions in terms of how to care for them.

If you are considering dentures, please contact us for a consultation. We’ll sit down with you and discuss the options available, working with you to reach the decision that makes the most sense for your unique situation.
