All of us at Northwood Dental wish everyone the best of health and safety in these challenging times.
As part of the Governor's mandate and the recent Pinellas County 'safer at home' initiative, our current hours of operation have been adjusted and many of you may have already been contacted to postpone your dental services.
Other patient services are still being provided in an altered schedule designed for the safety of you, our patients, and for the safety of our Northwood Dental personnel.
We remain ready to care for your dental concerns and are making attempts to send out personalized communications regarding all present and future appointments.
If you need to speak with us in the meantime, please call/text 727-797-5161 (it is vital you leave a voicemail if we are unable to take the call) or send an email to: OfficeManager@northwood-dental.com. Our patients are our top priority and we are doing our best to respond ASAP.

Digital Dentures For an Exceptional Fit!
Your denture try-in can be an exact replica of the proposed final denture for you to experience both the appearance and actual fit of your new denture before the final is even made. Patients have remarked that the try-in is the best fitting denture they have ever experienced!
Fitting digital dentures is a faster, easier process, as well. With this option, you will need to make only two to three visits to our office as opposed to five or six, and you’ll have your new set of dentures faster than ever due to this technology! Certainly, much more quickly than the two months traditional dentures might take! Our patients report a better fit, more functionality, and a better, more natural appearance with digital dentures.
Full Or Complete Denture
Full dentures are used to replace teeth after they have all been removed. The teeth are usually unable to be saved due to gum disease or decay. Dentures are used to replace the missing teeth and can be either conventional or immediate. Conventional dentures are usually placed after all of the teeth have been removed and the gums have begun to heal, usually after about 12 weeks. Immediate dentures are placed immediately after the teeth have been removed. Immediate dentures allow the patient to have teeth during the healing process. They will most likely need to be realigned or redesigned after healing is complete, as the gums will shift and change during this time.
Regardless of which denture style you choose, our friendly team will be right there with you to help you adjust. We’ll make sure you are as comfortable as possible throughout the process, and that you have the information you need to get used to your new dentures. Our professional staff will make sure the fit is just right, and we will answer any questions you have along the way.
Partial dentures are used when one or more natural teeth remain healthy in the upper or lower jaw. Partial dentures are designed to fit around the remaining teeth and can be either removable or fixed. Ask us about the new partial dentures with no metal or no metal wires !
- Removable partial dentures can be taken out of the mouth for cleaning or eating.
- A fixed partial denture is the same as a removable partial denture, except that it is cemented into place using the adjacent teeth for support.
As with any procedure, our dentists will help you learn more about your new teeth, and will provide detailed instructions in terms of how to care for them.
If you are considering dentures, please contact us for a consultation. We’ll sit down with you and discuss the options available, working with you to reach the decision that makes the most sense for your unique situation.
